Can anyone point me to an essay that has "carpe diem" as a theme?

I want to use something fresh and interesting for class. We usually use excerpts from Walden, but I think I should use something else. I'm not all that familiar with essays, so I hope someone can help me out. Just give me an author and the title, I can try to find it online. Thanks!
