Not to mention it was your peers that messed up the economy and blame the black guy. How are you going to be able to do a harder job for less incentive when your generations was raised on monetary incentive only? Not the kind of person I want around. And what do I hear when I ask why you want to work here, money. The low paying service industry which makes up 80% of our economy is not for people that are use to a higher monetary incentive. The director of nursing recently offered me a full time graveyard shift position and I declined, but thanked her for considering me when offering the full time position. Next month's work schedule has been released and I noticed my name is not on the list. I was thinking my manager is mad that I didn't accept her offer and is cutting me out of the schedule. I heard from another aide that something happened last week with misunderstanding between a nurse and it led to one patient just leaving and disappearing because that aide was supposed to watch. I have been out of work and on payed disability due to pregnancy complications. I'm getting ready to return to work and am wondering if I'm aloud to legally return to the company as a part timer or per diem and not have to repay my disability benefits I collected. I'm 18 and very soon to be 19. My whole life I've lived in fantasies. I've spent time pretending to be a high school basketball star, a star athlete, a genius writer. The list goes on. I've always strived to impress, or rather make a strong impression on a group of people who are either ignorant or doubtful of my latent talent. With highschool done, I have no immediate group of peers left to make a strong impression on. Because I'm so slow I can't keep a fast paced job and I lost my only well suited job at a call centre due to my own stupid negligence (lesson learned). I'm slowly watching myself become less of a "child with potential" and growing into a grown man who lives with his parents, has no job or drivers license. I failed my first semester of University and I'm really skeptical that I will do well. For the past few years, I've been stuck in a guitar playing fantasy. It started in high school when I was 15 I received a guitar. I immediately started fantasizing about impressing my high school peers. Why won't my school compromise?

I'm a freshman in high school in Texas that has year round schooling. Naruto vs Avatar who would win?

I absolutely love both series with episodes of its unique approach to a story, Avatar more of the kid friendly version as compared to Naruto. So if you put it up against each other probably it is debatable since there is restriction of blood and gore in Avatar while in Naruto it's a free for all when it comes to blood and tearing of flesh. So for me it cannot be compared since we haven't seen the dark sides of the Avatar series which is totally meant for kids while Naruto for adults. But if basing it alone as what it is in both series, I see Naruto and his friends as more of a genius especially when it comes to tactics in battles that they usually encounter unlike in the Avatar where they usually act upon in the spur of the moment thing, so hands down Naruto and his friends would dominate Avatar every damn time.

Why won't my school compromise?

I'm a freshman in high school in Texas that has year round schooling. So I'm like NEVER in trouble at school at all (I'm actually an honors student) but this morning I let my friends peer pressure me into joining them in bullying a girl during PE class, and we totally got caught. I felt bad about it as soon as I did it and I HAVE apologized. I know it was wrong. But the school isn't cutting me ANY slack even though I have a great track record. Boy did that movie suck. I'm guessing since this movie is based on book 1 the director was playing on Katara not really knowing how to water bend that well and this girl here look scared and nervous. I've only seen a couple episodes of the tv show, and I thought that Aang looked Asian (but the kid playing him in the live action looked just like him, so what's the big deal?). I started a new job 7 weeks ago with no experience. The company knew this when they hired me and I was told I would be trained for at least 5 months. I got a call from my mum today while I was at the city with my friends and she asked to me inquire about the watch that she wanted at this specific jewelry store. I knew what the watch looked like because my mum pointed it out before in the sale catalogue. The saleswoman continued to patronize me saying that he probably had a secret hidden stash of money at home hidden from me and that he was a drug dealer. At this point nobody laughed not even my friends because I just stood there stunned. She walked away and I immediately left the store. I probably over reacted but the woman's intentions were to humiliate me which was a shame because I didn't tell my mum about that specific store and found another one with a better price on the watch. Who thought The Last Airbender movie was awful?

That movie was terrible. Sokka wasn't at all like his sarcastic hilarious self. Katara wasn't her normal self. Dev Petal doesn't even look like Zuko. I thought Aang was too serious and don't get me started on the bending forms. M. Night rushed through the movie and should of included the Kyoshi warriors because Suki appears in the series more than once. The bending wasn't like it was in the series. I hope they make Sokka funnier, Aang more playful in certain scences, improve the bending forms and stances, and I hope they don't mess up Toph I will be so disappointed if they do she is my favorite. So here are a few things to watch out for: Make sure you have a 4.0 GPA every single term and every single year. A- and A+ just get turned into A's on the final report card. So as long as you can maintain a status quo of more than 90% in all subjects that would look great on your application though it is hard. Secondly, make sure you can join enough clubs, around 3 or even two is fine. Make sure you are actively involved in one club at least and try to run for officer and get elected. Thirdly, be involved in a sport or two. If you aren't the athletic type much, try out for a simple sport like badminton or something. It will be easier on you,and it looks good on your college application. Have good impressions with all of your teachers. Ok, the AP courses: Most people just think that they can wing it. AP takes a lot of time to do homework for and study for. As soon as you come home take no more than a half an hour break to get ready for studying. I think that the worst stereotype is the thought that all guys are the same. It’s true that we all share a resemblance. Many of us seem like heart breakers that want to get into everyone’s pants. There are a lot of those and sadly the media has influenced society to be that way but that doesn’t mean that were all like that. Believe me when I say that it makes it a lot harder for the rest of us to prove ourselves when all girls see is the stereotype. Besides the media, the want to fit in also plays a large part in how we are, similar to women. The gossiping fad is an example on the girl’s side. Many of us will seem the same because most of us portray a different personality in public which is usually a kind of “hotshot” appearance. The reason being is because on average, a guy has harder time expressing their true emotions and feelings and it takes an abundance of self confidence and security to overcome it. The people who so call themselves “players” usually just means that they have a hard time getting a girl by just being themselves. That type should be an obvious red flag. The reason that I think girls see that as our stereotype, and think were all the same is not because there are more of that type, but because they tend to stand out the most and that’s all the kind of guys woman ever see. As for the rest of us, the one thing that you have to know is that just because a guy likes to talk to you and make you laugh, doesn’t mean they’re hitting on you and want in your pants. It might just mean they like you and would love the opportunity to get to know you better as a person. Sure later on they may chose to want to date you and someday get closer to you if know what I mean, but that’s all guys. You will have to be the judge of character to see what he really wants. Just don’t assume by the cover or within the first few dates. More than half of the time he might not want to even date you and may just be trying to make a friend out of you and wants someone more understanding to talk to. Guys crave smiles and laughs from the opposite gender. Not only does boost their confidence, ego, and makes them feel secure about themselves. But it makes their day to make your day. They may put on a mask at first because their insecure, but if you give them the chance to let them open up and show them that you still like them for who they really are, they will stay that way because they now know that it’s ok to be them self. Not all guys have to open up like that. Some have already developed an openness and confidence about who they really are. However, just because they appear all the same with their “hotshot” look, doesn’t mean they really are. It may just be the style they like to portray. And you can’t argue with differences in appearances. It’s all about what’s on the inside.

Im thirteen years old and am in 8th grade.My parents fight all the time and have had to call the police on several occasions. Ever since we moved back to America my mom has been drinking and my dad has been neglecting my sister (16) and I. Do you lose healthcare benefits if your hours are involuntarily reduced at work, temporarily?

I've been hired into this company as a part-time employee, but almost never has had a permanent place of work. In other words the company floats me around different clinics, temporarily. They may have rejected (a long time ago) what they never could have. Or, you could be being patronizing without realizing it. You seem upfront about who you are on paper, but can you describe the essence of your demeanor? (Not many can do this objectively, right?) In what context are these people offended with you? At your job? At school? You may be enjoying working on becoming educated, and may be so immersed in that that you can't feel where anyone else is at in their heads, especially outside of the academic environment.

Job help looking for a better job?

I work as a substitute teacher per diem, so it's not permanent, and I get sent a different place every time. The pay is good, when I can go, but I'm looking for something where I know where I'll be every day, and I have the same hours. I've been looking on employment websites like monster.com, but I can only find sales jobs, and I don't really want to do that. I picture it as very difficult, and the pay not being stable since they are based on commission. I have a Bachelor's in Psychology/Anthropology and they have not been helpful at all. Ideally, I'd prefer a job working maybe as counselor or mediator....but I've been taking a break from school for the past year and applying everywhere. I haven't gotten anything yet ;(. Times are really rough I know that....and I really have to start paying back student loans, and other expenses. Would it be stupid to work somewhere like Walmart since I already have a degree? To be honest , I don't think i would read that kind of fan-fiction.If I were you I would tell her to watch the whole series. Because Zuko is way out of character and she needs more detail in her story. What did he do to help restore the Fire Nation? And ,how he was feeling when Mai was sick and how he felt after she died.She just can't put "Lord Zuko was distraught and locked himself away for a month. He returned but was a shadow of himself. The nations continued to function, but it was not like the first four years." I would like to know the emotions he was feeling. She needs to show, not tell. And having every doc on every person who lived in the word is very unrealistic. I could see if he has those for his own people. Not for others who live in different country's. Also she has to make sure her OC is not a Mary-sue. From the looks of things I'm afraid she might be one.

I used to watch this show and for some reason I am brain dead when I try to recall the name. It is about a man that is in law enforcement. He tracked down his teenage daughter because she was a run away and while driving back he ran off the road trying to avoid a dog. They end up in this small town full of geniuses. He becomes the sheriff of the town and his daughter lives with him. There is a cafe in the town called "Cafe Diem" and the owner can make anything you want to eat. Thanks for your help.

Thoughts on a piece I wrote for my English class?

very good, but after one read its seems more descriptive of her environment than of her character and when you have to start talking abt her character with "julia was an intuitive girl...." it seems very blunt and in complete contrast to the description of her environment which flows like water. you are very good at description of the surroundings, use that to bring out the character. the character development seems very blocky, merge it with the rest of the text. when u describe the grass or the bushes bring out her thoughts abt how she believes there are secrets hidden behind them, in them/it and how when the wind blew she wanted to follow it to see where it went to see perchance where it began,< this is just a crude example to describe her curious character, her determination, start it off smoothly, ease into the character. ( i hope this helps somehow, i would want to read further)

I just wanted to let you guys know that most Christians are not the loud spoken, obnoxious, hypocritical, angry, mean, selfish, close minded people many make us out to be. 95% of us respect you guys and just hope you guys do the same for us. We're not out to start fights and arguments and shake our fingers at everyone telling them they are going to hell. We just want to live good lives, as you do, and we love you as our peers and co workers. I really do apologize for the other 5% or so of psycho's that you see on the news or on the streets or even find on this site that just try to tell you that you are wrong and we are right. You just don't hear from us often because the crazy "Christians" are so loud and out there pushing their own agenda's and we don't want to be associated with them. I'm really sorry for bad experiences with so called "Christians" and I just wanted to hopefully somewhat set a little bit of a record straight. I wish we could all concentrate more on the positive things that connect us rather than our differences of opinion and beliefs.

I got a call from my mum today while I was at the city with my friends and she asked to me inquire about the watch that she wanted at this specific jewelry store. I knew what the watch looked like because my mum pointed it out before in the sale catalogue. I was looking at the ladies watches to find the watch that my mum wanted and as usual the saleswoman asked me if I needed any assistance. I replied no thank you and that I was just looking around. But she wouldn't leave me alone, she kept standing and there and asking me if I was purchasing a watch for my boyfriend (*sarcasm*yes because I would totally purchase a lady's watch for my non existent boyfriend). Before I had time to answer my friends thought it'd be amusing to shout 'YES." The saleswoman seemed surprise and she kept asking me if he was rich and handsome. She kept going off rather unprofessionally about my how supposedly lucky my non existent boyfriend was. At this point I was extremely embarrassed and very uncomfortable, but my *wonderful* peers decided to take advantage of the awkward moment and hint that my non existent boyfriend was an unemployed nobody. The saleswoman continued to patronize me saying that he probably had a secret hidden stash of money at home hidden from me and that he was a drug dealer. At this point nobody laughed not even my friends because I just stood there stunned. She walked away and I immediately left the store. I probably over reacted but the woman's intentions were to humiliate me which was a shame because I didn't tell my mum about that specific store and found another one with a better price on the watch. I guess my question is have you had a similar experience to mine?

i was recently let go from a job for multiple reasons, however i had been approached by the general manager that stated if anyone asks me what i work i need to tell them im a per diem employee so they dont get in trouble for minimum wage laws. this took place in NH and i want to know if there are any actions i can take against these people

Question for parents of teen age boys only please.?

My son is almost 15 years old. He is a good kid, involved in 3 competitive sports, has good friends from good families but.... he and his friends have started to try alchol. It started about 7 months ago to the best of my knowledge. Another factor here is that his dad committed suicide about 18 months ago. Now I know this is not a reason to do what he is doing because the other boys are not in his situation and are doing it. He swore to me the last time he was caught that he had stopped. He will tell me when his friends do it and that they need to make better choices. I thought things had changed with him until yesterday when I found a small airline size bottle in our trash can. He had friends over the day before and swore that it wasnt his that it must have been one of the other boys. We went back and forth for several hours about if he was still doing it. Finally he said that he had done it a few more times since he had told me he stopped. How do I deal with this? He is in counseling and I know that it is a peer pressure thing that he has to learn to deal with but it is tearing me up inside...he is better than this. Its not every day or even every week, I keep a pretty tight reign on him. I'm glad he finally confessed and was honest with me but I'm not sure how much more I can control his life without keeping him on lock down and not allowing others into our home. I don't have any alcohol in my house anymore due to this very reason. Someone brought it with them. Any advice would be great!

Instead of Legend of Korra as the sequel to last airbender how about this and what are your own thoughts?

Now i'm a huge fan of Avatar so I watch LoK anyway but personally I hate when they kill off all the main characters and just drop some new ones in. My thought for a Sequel show would be this. Have the characters from the previous show as either young adults or in their late teens and still follow Aang and friends. Find out what really happened to Zuko's mother. Have some Hook-ups with Toph or Ty Lee and other characters. Have the fight scenes be great introduce some sort of new foe. I could go on and on and on But it just seems like a bummer that ok they're starting with new characters. I know Aang's voice actor is probably in his late teens so they could use him for something but hey just my opinion

Why is my Facebook account still 'temporarily unavailable'?

It says my account is temporarily unavailable due to site maintenance and that I should be able to log back on within a few minutes. Thing is, it's been saying that for several hours now. I've looked up how to fix it and it seems nothing can be done. I've also emailed Facebook about the problem. They have yet to respond. Several of my friends have also tried to view my page and were unable to. Please help, I communicate with teachers and peers for various school activities, as well as family and this is hindering my ability to do anything. I can't even create a new account and when i click the 'Help' link at the bottom of the page, it doesn't do anything, it just keeps me on the same page with the message. Please help!

I'm ashamed to even ask this?

I was hoping someone would have some advice or insight as to how I can go about with this balance. I am currently working as a nurse, which I love, but I also have a long history of depression and GAD (which I am working with my doctor on). I really do love my job, but the way Im feeling is really starting to interfer. Please understand, I don't want to be some medicaid mooch who sits on the couch all day, but Im looking for info regarding some sort of health insurance if I were to drop down to per diem status at work, which would make me non-union and, therefor, ineligible for the company plan. I am BY NO MEANS saying I wouldn't work entirely,I just think the freedom to choose my schedule around managing my symptoms might be beneficial. I currently work 4 days a week, which is the lowest one may go at our hospital and still be unionized. Per diem is, I believe, 2 days a month but I am more than willing to pick up up shifts as I can tolerate. Has anyone been in a similar situation or have any advice? I am so ashamed to even ask this ;(

Is it fine to email my supervisor/boss for any concerns I may have?

I work in a hospital, but only per diem (one weekday) and every other weekend. I work as an aide. It's going to be my 4th month and my 90 probationary period is over. There's going to be a big meeting coming up with all the aides and I overheard that the supervisor was going to go over major things. I heard from another aide that something happened last week with misunderstanding between a nurse and it led to one patient just leaving and disappearing because that aide was supposed to watch. They were supposedly going to fire that aide, but didn't. The problem is I was the only aide that worked in that certain floor that happened, and it was worrying me because I had no clue this had ever happened but I was the only aide that worked that week in that floor. I was about to email my supervisor and just ask her if I am doing a good job and if there's anything I can work on. Is that okay to ask?

I'm doing nothing with my life and have no friends?

I'm a adult hispanic male who lives in a urban community mainly middle to low income households around here and also is a gang affiliated area I have trouble making friends in school since I had very bad acne I try not to let it get to me but I can only take so much negative feedback from my peers that it gets to me I am not a bad person I respect all who are kind and am straight edge and I really never had friends I have had girlfriends but all dumped me due to popularity and party issues ( I don't "party" ) now these girls only dated me due to my looks and now my acne is mild but still red but my looks help and the way I dress is appealing to females but so much negative male feedback on my personal style yet I don't have a gf and really never leave the house only time I leave is when I have to work and to shop downtown that's it but at the end of the day no one talks to me as far as my peers and I have no social life now I understand that other people have it way worse i'm aware and I am thankfull and humble in person to all yet people avoid talking to me my family does'nt like me they make fun of me and my acne and how I have no social life and even though i'm pretty good at the guitar and piano it's just difficult to continue all i'm asking is help on what to do since I never leave my house due to no valid reason to go any place and everyone around here goes out but to get wasted and that's not my way of spending a day/night I never had a decent weekend and weekends are the worst i'm basically the Hispanic Rj Berger but no friends and no hot blonde that likes me and i'm not picked on just made fun of but I can only deal with so much bs every night is a lonely night no one wants to talk to me and I tried so many methods but seems popularity is all that matters in my area and the fact that I spent years stuck in my home makes my conversations with others very dull so to speak I tried hobbies but that only helps so much and I tried books but same thing I never had a best friend nor a lasting gf that really wants to be with me for me not my looks per say and well if any one has a opinion on what I can do or any help on how to make every night a well spent night/day/weekend please by all means asap help I am even thinking of deleting my facebook since no one ever talks to me and I tried talking bad enough some never reply idk what to do

Personally I was rooting for Zuko and Katara to be together, and Sokka and Suki. But that would leave Aang and Toph together, and Im not a big fan of that matching. I also kind of like Katara and Aang together but thats to purest for me. Opinions?
