What is the name of this T.V. show?

I used to watch this show and for some reason I am brain dead when I try to recall the name. It is about a man that is in law enforcement. He tracked down his teenage daughter because she was a run away and while driving back he ran off the road trying to avoid a dog. They end up in this small town full of geniuses. He becomes the sheriff of the town and his daughter lives with him. There is a cafe in the town called "Cafe Diem" and the owner can make anything you want to eat. Thanks for your help.
